Multiple Stores Nabbed For Selling Alcohol To Minors On Long Island, Police Say

A handful of Long Island stores were caught red-handed selling alcohol to minors, authorities said.

Lucky 7 Gourmet Deli and Grocery, located in East Rockaway, was one of five stores in the area nabbed with selling alcohol to minors, the Nassau County Police announced.

On Thursday, Sept. 14, Nassau County Police announced that arrests were made at stores across East Rockaway and Oceanside for selling alcoholic beverages to underage, undercover agents.

The locations that were caught selling to underaged agents are:

  • Lucky 7’s Gourmet Deli and Grocery, located at 276 Atlantic Avenue in East Rockaway;
  • Ultra Mini Mart, located at 411 Atlantic Avenue in East Rockaway;
  • Patel Smoke and Convenience, located at 571 Atlantic Avenue in Oceanside;
  • BP Convenience, located at 292 Long Beach Road in Oceanside; and
  • E Smoke Vape Beer Cigar, located at 3015 Long Beach Road in Oceanside.

Each of the sellers was charged with the prohibited sale of alcoholic beverages, issued an appearance ticket, and the New York State Liquor Authority was notified.
